Golf Event / Tournament To celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the SandBagger©, we are offering the SandBagger© Version 10 25th Anniversary Personal Edition as a free download to those in the golfing community who have a need to organize a social or company tournament.
To install and use the Sandbagger©, you must accept a license agreement. After installation, you must register and activate your copy to remove the 30 day restriction. Activation is free, and registered users will receive free technical support and updates for the life of this anniversary version! For installation restrictions and troubleshooting information, see the Technical Notes page. Note: The download referenced above can not be used to upgrade a currently installed version! Upgrade information and downloads are available to registered users via the Tournament Services page. Background Organizing a golf tournament can be a complex endeavor, as anyone who has tackled the job will know. The SandBagger© has been specifically designed to assist organizers who want to maintain control of all aspects of the organizing process in one convenient and easy to use PC application. Because of its unique features, it is ideally suited for just about any kind of golf event/competition. However, the personal edition available here for download is not intended for commercial use. We have tried to make the new SandBagger© Version 10 as comprehensive and intuitive as possible, with a simple user friendly graphics interface and help files available every step of the way. We have incorporated extensive changes in this 25th Anniversary Personal Edition, including adding an Optical Mark Reader (OMR) option for entering scores, the ability to generate custom scorecards, and a Quick Access menu to allow users to navigate quickly to options for configured competitions. The SandBagger also includes the tried and proven proprietary HHL handicapping system for scrambles which allows you to automatically generate realistic handicaps for teams with any combination of player capabilities. Several special utilities are also included in the SandBagger, which can be activated by registered users - see the Technical Notes page for more details. The idea for the SandBagger© originated over 25 years ago, with the first PC version of the application created in 1985 as a Lotus spreadsheet. As the years have progressed, we have enhanced and migrated this application through several versions of Paradox and finally through three versions of MS Access©. We have lost count of the number of tournaments the SandBagger© has supported. Although setting up your first event/competition may seem like a lot of work, it will pay off in the end. Use this application for the next tournament you hold, and we hope you will be impressed. |
